Established in January 2014 as THS Emergency Shelter Inc., the organization initially operated as a severe weather overnight shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. THS received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in November 2014. During the COVID-19 pandemic, THS transitioned to a year-round, motel-based sheltering model, no longer operating as an overnight shelter. Although the organization’s legal name remains THS Emergency Shelter, Inc., in 2024, we adopted the public name THS Homeless Resource Bridge to better reflect the expanded mission of providing more than shelter through supportive services, resource connections, and pathways to long-term stability. A significant milestone was reached in May 2025 when THS Homeless Resource Bridge acquired their first permanent home office.
